Do you want to know why you cannot run your car on water? I mean besides the obvious fact that water does not burn, and therefore is not combustible. I think one big reason is money! Water is free. Big oil companies will not make any profits once you begin to run your vehicles on water. It is not a stretch of the imagination to think these big oil conglomerates have congress snugly packed in their pockets. Together, they will do their level best to keep any prospect of an alternative fuel source to power your cars and trucks.
